My Thoughts
This book wasn't at all what I expected.
When I saw the cover and the title I thought it was a zombie book and avoided it because I hate zombie books. However I got a press release through and realised it wasn't and decided to give it a go.
I liked several things about this book.
Firstly it was a murder mystery story which was well told with plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. I liked that I wasn't able to predict where it was going from the outset and enjoyed being surprised.
Secondly I loved that it was a little bit different from other titles of a similar genre because it was a little bit hippy, a little bit pagany and I enjoyed having that slightly unusual backdrop to the story. I also really liked the main character and all her teenager ways and loved getting to know her throughout the story.
A really nice title and a welcome addition to my ever growing collection of titles from a British author.
