I had a fab week for books this week
Nightshade by Andrea Cremer (US hardback)
I ordered this with some money I had because price minster messed up one of my orders (they are not great of ordering things btw). I love the difference between it and the UK cover and love how the pages are done to old old at the end.
Between Shades of Gray (US hardback)
Another one ordered from price minister. I can't begin to tell you how much I love this book. So glad I have the hardback version.
Monacute House by Lucy Jago (UK paperback)
Historical fiction sent to me by Bloomsbury. Looks quite sweet.
Angel's Fury by Bryony Pearce (UK proof)
I am excited about this one - looks really fab
Duty Calls: Dunkirk by James Holland (UK proof)
I can't wait to start this - a bit more boyish than what I usually read but set in a time period which is really me!
The Dead by Charlie Higson (UK signed paperback)
The Enemy by Charlie Higson (UK signed paperback)
Friday evening I went to see Charlie Higson at an event in North Norfolk. It was really awesome. He talked for almost an hour about where he gets his ideas from and basically covered the entire history of horror and where we get all our vampire stories from. He was really funny and engaging to listen to. I bought the two books in his horror series which he spoke about at length and he signed them. Looking forward to reading them quite a bit.
City of Fallen Angels (UK paperback)
So excited about this - already finished it - review should be on goodreads now and will be on the blog soon.
My sister lives on the Mantelpiece by Annabel Pitcher (UK signed hardback)
This was an ebay bargain. I love ebay!
The Girl who Leapt through time by Yasutaka Tsutsui (UK paperback)
I was offered this back in January and it finally arrived. I'll be interested to see how it compares to the film.
Thank you to everyone who sent me books this week.
