bookcase showcase CJ Skuse

Today I am joined by CJ Skuse author of Rockoholic (see my review for it here) for another instalment of Bookcase Showcase ...

So here’s my best bookcase, very tidy at the moment because I’m not doing much reading. It also houses some of my little action figures that I collect. Hansel and Gretel are in charge of guarding the bottom shelves while Mr Blonde takes upstairs. I pay them in dust.

 Here we have the most important action figures: Mikey from The Goonies (plus inhaler); Claire from Heroes, Maggie Simpson, the entire cast of The Umbrella Academy and not forgetting Organ Man.  There is also some hardback books on the top shelf – couple of David Baddiels and Neil Gaimans and below are some of my YA titles, my JD Salingers and some books my other cracking Chicken House authors Lucy Christopher, Di Toft and the legend that is Kevin Brooks. Oh and my Kiljoys gun in there too for when I play Apocalypse at the weekends.

 More action figures here and if you look very closely you will see that both Legolas and Edward Cullen are holding miniature copies of my books Pretty Bad Things and Rockoholic. There are also hints of Stewie Griffin and Chewbacca on these shelves and they also hold some of my comic and graphic novel collection. Fables rules!

At the very top of my shelves stands the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, who guards my Bela Lugosi prints. The little green cuddly is the Loch Ness Monster. The next shelf down houses some little ornaments I got in the States, some classic books and a couple of Norwegian Pretty Bad Things which are the only book on this particular shelf that I haven’t read.
