Just a quick post today to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope you all have a fab day whatever you are doing. We will probably have one of our usual Christmas days. Presents very early with my husband because I get too excited to wait - I can usually get him to make me a lovely breakfast too. We will be going over the road for Christmas Dinner to my parent's house. It'll be nice as my brother is on leave from the Royal Marines and there will be more presents. The rest of the day will be back at home not doing an awful lot. We usually end up doing more on the days surrounding christmas and can usually end up with a house full of a variety of our friends and we usually do our own christmas dinner on one of those evenings!

I love twilight - I am not ashamed to say it I freaking love it as a series. I am proud to say I got into Twilight before it became to huge success it was. Before my book blogging days I read but not to the extent I read now and would only get through a couple of books a month. My husband often would order me a couple at christmas and they would often be titles I would never have heard about before because I wasn't aware to the same extent about what was about as I am now. One christmas about 4 years ago I received this .. I hadn't heard anything about and my husband bought it for two reasons. One he looked at another book I had just finished and saw what was recommended by Amazon for people who had bought that book. Secondly he said the picture reminded him of me (I still don't know quite how to take that as it is a little freaky but I suppose the hair is like mine used to be in the days before I used to see my current hairdresser - who is fabulous and semi famous)

I don't intend on doing these type of posts often but I thought it might be nice to do one especially for my readers who have seen a book in one of my In my Mailbox posts and are awaiting a review. These are the books I didn't get on with this year and gave up on and why... Thirteen reasons why by Jay Asher. I took this camping with me and boy did I try (especially as I had nothing else to read) but I found the character really irritating to the point I was glad that she was dead. Gave up half way through Other opinions teen book review becky's book reviews Burned by PC and Kristen Cast I feel a little cheated when I think about this series. I read the earlier ones and liked them but got to the point where I wanted to scream at the later ones. I feel like I should continue with them just to find out what happens but I'm not sure if I can put myself through it. Now that Vampire Academy is done with I thought I'd come up with some ideas with things I'd recommend you could read next Other Richelle Mead Books I personally haven't read any other Richelle Mead books but I am going to after how impressed I have been with Vampire Academy. She has said that she will be doing more books in The Vampire Academy World which I am looking forwrad to muchly Another series I have heard good things about (from my husband actually) is her Georgina Kincaid series the first one is called Succubus Blues . I think it is more adult than Young Adult but he has said how good it is and has been trying to hunt down the rest of the books in the series to read. Other Razorbill Books Razorbill have had some awesome titles pop up on their website over the past few months. I have loved everything I have read from the imprint. I love covers and am a sucker for buying a book purely for its cover - what do you think of the new set of Vampire Academy Covers? I do like the original covers - although the first couple remind me of Buffy and how she looked on the early boxset covers. From seeing the new ones in the flesh I can say they are nice and probably brilliant for this time of year and they look christmassy with the red. What do you prefer?

Therefore I am going to tell you what I liked about different parts - I can't guarantee this will be spoiler free.
