I found this book hard to get into. It is quite chilling in places especially all the things Todd does when he is following orders. I'm not sure I really understood all of it and maybe it was just me being thick or it being a bit too clever. I loved the story It was gentle and quite slow paced but the characters were all very rich and it's not hard to fall in Love with Lennie herself and see why she does exactly what she does. I loved her Gram and her uncle and the fact that what could been seen as a disfunctional family can function perfectly well. While I usually hate poetry in a book this worked really well and added so much to the story. I would highly recommend this beautfil story to anyone as just fils you with a lovely warm glow despite being quite sad and moving in places. I am already excited for her next book.

I have been waiting for this to arrive for ages and was actually getting quite annoyed about it and had almost written off ever seeing it but it is finally here!!!! Not heard too much about it but looking forward to reading it all the same Leviatha n by Scott Westerfeld. I absolutely loved the Uglies series - I don't really know why it has taken me this long to seek out more Scott Westerfeld. This looks like it will be eaxctly my sort of thing with the History twist and nothing like uglies at all. Although I didn't love this book it did have its merits. It was a gentle tale which gave nice insight into life at the turn of the last century in America. I liked the character of Mattie and thought that she was probably the best thing about the book. There were lots of twists and turns and it got quite fast paced towards the end of the book. I did buy this however thinking it would be like the Lake of Dead languages which it isn't. The murder mystery which I thought was at the heart of it was just a side show and I thought there could have been an awful lot more done with it. I did find the book confusing at times when trying to work out past and present in it. Certainly worth the read if you have the time. Next book - the Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness

I quite enjoyed this book on the whole and am looking forward to seeing where the series is going. My main complaints however is that the Casts seem to think the readers are a bit dim in that they have to remind us who everyone is - oh look these two are gay (yes we know) and the the twins they aren't really twins (we know). I could kinda understand that after in the first couple of books but we are now on book 5. I get annoyed a little bit with Zoey as she goes on and on about her boyfriend problems when it isn't really problems and more the fact that she can't make a decision. All that aside I enjoy the fact that the relationships between the characters and the harry potter stylee of the entire story. I do feel however that the format of each book is very samey and maybe the whole thing is being padded out to get an epic book detail. Maybe that is just me being cynical.

I am actually quite annoyed as i should have had a couple more books through from readitswapit.co.uk but two different people haven't bothered to post the books out grrr and as my birthday's coming up I don't want to buy anything (although I have been editing my amazon wishlist in anticipation with help from goodreads.com). All I can say is wow - after dawdling along for 4 books the series has finally kicked off - very exciting and fast paced. I want a grandma just like Zoey's. Very excited to see where this goes. Will be starting the next book very soon.

I was very excited about this book coming out as I have been a fan of twilight from very early on. Some of the reviews I have seen so far have criticised the length etc but Stephenie Meyer never intended it being a full book and I don't think ever really intended to write it at all. A fab little addition to the twilight world which adds to the story seeing the world and events from another point of view. A fast little read which is well worth it.

I ordered this book from Amazon after not being able to get it from readitswapit. Definately worth spending money on and so good that I have now preordered the second one. I can see why it has been compared to Twilight being set in a similiar setting with characters of a similiar age and a similiar style of writing. However it isn't really all that similiar at all being quite a different story. It started out quite slow and built itself up to the point where I couldn't read it fast enough. very excited to seeing where this goes.

A fab little book that I got through in a matter of hours. I really enjoyed the book as I though the characters were really believable and down to earth. The family unit had a real warmth to them which made the whole story even more heart breaking and the main relationship of Mia and Adam was lovely. A real page turner

I love reading and this fab site has allowed me access to a huge variety of new books and ignited my love for reading once more.
